So, I've now put two coats of paint on the walls of the nursery/computer room, but it's just not going on thick enough. You can see brush strokes, and it's looking less navy and more blue-green. I'm using a roller, 3" brush, and a little roller to cut in. It's a gallon, so it's supposed to cover 600 sq ft, but I'm already down 1/3 of the can on 100 sq ft.
Ideas?

Sorry, only $.02 that I can put in is to try another coat. It does get darker as you add more coats. Too late to really ask if you put primer down. Also, it depends on the color underneath. Cheap paint also will yield the necessity for more coats.

Did you put a primer coat on first? Are you trying to cover a darker color with a lighter color? Or even, in some cases, a much lighter color with a darker? Use the roller in a "W" pattern - start by making a big W or M, then fill in as you work across the wall.

Just to reiterate what everyone else is saying, I would add another coat. Have you let it 100% dry inbetween -- it is amazing how much darker it will looks.
Also, are you comparing the paint chip to the wall to determine that it is lighter? It always amazes me how much paint ships don't look like the color on the wall... I think that it is that "small chio, large wall" thing.
