  1. Not to be a stickler for details, and maybe this in an exception, being a foreign place and all, but, generally speaking it's considered a faux pas to use the term "new jersey" with out prefixing it with it's honorific "Fucking" and removing the then awkward New. Example "Fucking Jersey".

Glad to see you're blogging again!

  2. A Reading jersey? Reading? Why Reading? Seems like a random club to support for someone overseas.

  3. I lived in Reading many a moon ago. And I never got into the London clubs.

  5. FWIW, Bill Simmons has decided to be a fan of an English Premier League team. He considered Reading, but thinks of them as "the EPL version of the Arizona Cardinals."

  6. I actually spent the better part of the summer choosing an EPL team for myself as well, and ended up choosing Reading. I grew up in Seattle, so when I found out that Hahnemann was from Seattle too, I was sold! It's as close to a "home team" as I could get.

  7. Oh, there's also a good chance you can watch the Royals play this season if you find a good English pub. I'm down in LA, and I've found a pub down here that plays just about every game. There's also a chance that some of Reading's games will be on Fox Soccer Channel this year, but probably only when they play the big teams.
